Welcome to the iD Dunedin Fashion Show
We’re delighted to be bringing you the 23rd iD Dunedin Fashion Week, and especially excited for iD’s runway show to be back in our beautiful Dunedin Railway Station- the longest catwalk in the southern hemisphere.
It has been great to hear that our audiences are just as excited as we are, and with more than 50 collections showing, it’s going to be an incredible experience for everyone involved, front of house and backstage.
This year established designers will show in the first half of the event, with the iD International Emerging Designers Awards finalists’ collections in the second half of the evening, so you’ll see some of New Zealand’s best innovative design and ready-to-wear fashion, followed by the absolute cream of the industry’s future.
iD has placed emphasis this year on sustainability and diversity. As a premier arts event, we want to do more than just pay lip service to these concepts, and we hope that our audiences will see that reflected in our events this year. There’s more to be done – and always will be more to do – but we’re very proud of the innovation and proactivity all of our designers and suppliers are showing as they evolve and grow.
As usual, there is a fantastic collection of associated events, many of which feature our iD alumni, and which will add richness and a truly Dunedin flavour to your time with us. Please do check our calendar and get to as many as you can.
We acknowledge with gratitude the Dunedin City Council and Otago Polytechnic | Te Pūkenga, and all our generous partners and funders – in this economic climate, we take it as a signal of iD’s value to the city that so many businesses and organisations take such pride in supporting this gorgeous festival in our southern city of creativity and learning.

Welcome to Ōtepoti, proud host of iD Dunedin Fashion – New Zealand’s premier fashion event.
Dunedin has a long, illustrious history of producing and shaping some of the country's most acclaimed designers.
Through the Otago Polytechnic | Te Pūkenga School of Design, we are today the training ground of choice for future designers looking for a strong foundation and the skills to flourish in the industry.
iD Dunedin Fashion is a much-appreciated opportunity to showcase our creative and educational strengths, while also welcoming an edgy blend of high profile and emerging designers from around the globe to celebrate all things fashion.
For those of you from Dunedin, thanks for supporting this great local event, now in its 23rd year. And to our guests from out of Dunedin, please enjoy your stay in our wonderful city and revel in the exhibitions, shows, talks, installations and everything that this event offers.
Kā mihi nui,
Jules Radich
