NOM*d

FLÂNEURISM

Over three decades, NOM*d has galvanised its position as a label that honours the sharp intelligence and deep individuality of the wearer. For NOM*d, clothing can be a portal to a profound inner landscape or a shield against the outside world. NOM*d offers a wardrobe that is understated and subversive. Taking an irreverent approach to tailored silhouettes and utilitarian textiles, deconstruction and unexpected reworking underpin the label’s designs to create garments that, although experimental, can be worn as uniform. NOM*d is enduring – like the singular chime of a bell – yet defiant; the interplay between light and dark has been resolute throughout the years. Founded by Margarita Robertson in 1986 in Dunedin, NOM*d is a label that continues to embrace the gothic beguilement of this elemental place. All NOM*d clothing is proudly made in New Zealand.

Sustainability
NOM*d aims to have a positive impact on people and the planet. Sustainability is an intrinsic part of NOM*d since its inception. Utilizing upcycling, deadstock fabrics, ensuring longevity through quality and actively reducing plastic across the supply chain we are committed to sustainability. NOM*d is 100% NZ made, reducing carbon emissions and ensuring ethical work environments.

Diversity
As members of the fashion community, we have an important role to play in improving diversity and equality in the industry, and we are committed to building a more inclusive future for everyone. Flying Fox

Harper

Inspired by Agnes Harper, designer Sandra Tupu’s Scottish great grandmother’s, brave and courageous journey from Dundee to Aotearoa - into the ‘unknown’. Tupu wanted to challenge herself by using different techniques in her creating and making process as she navigates her own self-discovery of ‘new ground’.

The ‘Harper’ capsule range uses novel low-waste pattern making, champions NZ wool in collaboration with 'Palliser Ridge’ a luxury wool producer/supplier; is detailed with hand needle work and incorporates some eco-print designs.

Sustainability
Tupu is currently exploring ways for Flying Fox to create less waste through innovative low waste pattern making, capsule ranges with small runs, making to order, reusing some upcycled materials, eco-printing, supporting local producers/suppliers.

Tupu is a member of Mindful Fashion and is very passionate about sustainable values as an organisation helping to unite our industry, promote sustainability along with a goal of bringing back our making into Aotearoa and is currently on the board. As a part-time Lecturer at AUT Tupu is also helping students to align their values and practices with sustainability in mind.

Design well sustainably & responsibly, buy less, wear more!

Diversity
Flying Fox is proud to produce gender fluid clothes. Comfort is a big focus and their style highlights this and is obtained by using innovative drape and pattern making often starting from a key ‘shape’ discovered whilst researching a range. Personal fit can be achieved through a custom measure and adjustments and most garments can fit a wide range of sizes. Flying Fox will show their new range ‘Harper’ on Male & Female models of a diverse cultural mix to illustrate these values.

Rhian

Explore The Ethereal

A celebration of the delicate, the transient, and the otherworldly—a collection inspired by the rare glimpses of the natural world, often overlooked yet profoundly moving.

Composed of natural fabrics, “Explore the Ethereal” includes pieces digitally printed with original artwork, revealing unique designs that reinterpret sustainable fashion.

The 2025 Collection embraces the beauty of impermanence and the quiet allure of the world around us. It celebrates soft, airy textures—designed to remind us of the beauty that exists in the briefest of moments.

Sustainability
One of the key ways Rhian achieves sustainable practices is through their made-to-order model. Unlike traditional fashion brands that mass-produce garments, often leading to excess stock and significant waste, Rhian only creates what is needed.  When you place an order with Rhian, your garment is made specifically for you, ensuring that every piece has a purpose and a home. This approach not only reduces waste but also allows focus on quality and craftsmanship, giving you a product that is both unique and enduring.

Diversity
Rhian is committed to celebrating diversity through their made-to-measure approach. By pattern drafting based on individual measurements, they ensure that each garment is tailored to fit perfectly, regardless of size or shape. Their dedication to inclusivity means that designs are for every body, with each piece crafted to meet the specific needs and preferences of our diverse clientele. Additionally, many of our designs are multi-functional, and the use of ties, D-rings, straps and drape allow our garments to be styled on different sizes and in different silhouettes. Rhian is committed to celebrating the beauty of human difference, and encourage those from all walks of life to wear what makes them the most content.

Fringes

In Above Our Heads

Fringes W25 "In Above Our Heads" is a collection that explores the surreal journey of young professionals stepping into adulthood amid an uncertain economy. It is a collaborative exploration of perception and texture with jewellery designer "Anthurium", blending trompe l'oeil and surrealism to highlight the gap between external professional expectations and the inner chaos of navigating multiple jobs and income streams. Designed for those balancing ambition with practicality, ‘In Over Our Heads’ delivers garments that speak to the demands of modern life in Aotearoa—where clothes must serve both purpose and perception, reflecting the evolving challenges and triumphs of our generation.

Sustainability
Fringes’ mission is to slow down the consumption cycle and get consumers to value their possessions more. Achieved by providing a hyper-transparent approach, centring on longevity & customizability, giving consumers autonomy and building a bond between wearer and garment. In addition to this, all garments are created in CLO3D.

Diversity
Focusing on inclusive design through customizability and modularity, components are interchangeable, allowing the consumer to alter the appearances and silhouettes. Additionally with an androgynous approach to the shapes of the garments, Fringes aims to create without the influence of directly gendered connotations.

Atelier Royale + Atér

Atelier Royale

This collection is over-exaggerated in the silhouette in some way, and in the act of over-exaggeration, becomes more than just a covering of the head. The hat becomes a metaphor for diversity and identity and becomes an extension of the self.   This collection is bold, fun and fashion forward or backward - highlighting the head - the vessel of our identity, creativity and expression.

Atelier Royale crafts handmade straw and felt, bespoke, and custom hats from quality natural materials. Straws and wool/fur felts are either blocked on a vintage French Hat Press, or hand-blocked on wooden hat blocks—the old-fashioned way. Our forte is creating your dream hat, especially for smaller & larger heads. Quality materials, original designs, limited editions and hand crafted is our recipe. Our mission is to save one head at a time from synthetic materials, your head is precious.

Sustainability
Our creative vision is centered around our three pillars (Pou); People, Planet & Product. Our objective is to build a sustainable fashion business, delivering ethically manufactured products with minimal negative impact on the environment. Making our product as sustainable as possible so customers can make a sustainable choice without compromise.

Diversity
What ever aspect of diversity that we have, we can wear a hat.

Atér

The Atér Winter 25 collection is something special. Since the conception of Atér three years ago, designer Georgina Lawson has been collaborating with a local mill to craft a unique cloth, a first of its kind made here in New Zealand. This collection includes luxe garments which are constructed from this unique cloth, a double faced 100% wool fabric. Each colour and variation of cloth is created with the finished garment in mind, this adds another level of cohesiveness to the overall look of each style. Our latest addition to the collection is The Elgin 100% Wool trench, our take on the classic trench coat.

Georgina would like to take this opportunity to thank the iD Board for giving Atér this opportunity and pairing us with Atelier Royale for this fantastic event. We also want to express a huge thank you to every one of you who have supported Atér on its journey thus far.

Sustainability
By using their own annual wool clip and processing the fibre onshore with certified New Zealand manufacturers, Atér ensures garments are traceable and lowers carbon emissions. Atér uses offcuts by re-using larger pieces and small scraps are utilised in a local worm farm (giving nutrients back to the soil).

Diversity
The 2025 Winter collection is aimed to be as inclusive as possible with several styles including XXS (6) to XL (16) sizes. As a new designer and maker, Atér have learnt it is imperative to recognise that everyone has different needs and preferences.

Charmaine Reveley

Charmaine Reveley established her label in 2003, and showcased her first collection in the inaugural iD Dunedin Fashion Show at the Dunedin Railway Station in the same year. The Charmaine Reveley brand is about understated femininity and embracing minimal silhouettes to showcase the beauty of the textiles chosen. The textiles used are always the primary inspiration for any Charmaine Reveley collection and often dictate the direction of a collection. Aside from textiles, the brand often draws inspiration from the natural world, in particular botanical elements in nature, which is reflected both in textiles and in the silhouette of garments. Charmaine Reveley endeavours to create classic garments that will stand the test of time, and each collection follows on seamlessly from the one before.

Sustainability Statement
Charmaine Reveley has a commitment to keeping their clothing production as local as possible. Charmaine Reveley manufactures all their clothing within New Zealand and much of it even more locally within Dunedin. This allows the brand to know the standard of production at each step of the manufacturing process. Although some fabrics are imported, there is an emphasis on deadstock fabrics. Production is kept small, ensuring only enough product to meet demand, which means there are very few products left at the end of the season, without the need for sales or other tactics to move product from the stores. This retains the value of the garments both within the brand but also for resale.

Charmaine Reveley also designs with a classic design ethos, skewing away from trends which allows investment in quality fabrics and design techniques which allows Charmaine Reveley garments to not only last a long time, but to be able to be resold to have a second life. Charmaine Reveley is committed to developing more sustainable systems.

Diversity Statement
When Charmaine Reveley is designing diversity is continually front of mind, and they are committed to help as many different people as resources allow. Charmaine Reveley spends a significant amount of time in product development to ensure garments are as suitable for as many bodies as possible. Charmaine Reveley offers a custom service to give clients the ability to have something made to meet their specific needs.

Taylor

Winter 2025 draws inspiration from the circle - a never-ending curved form. Taylor’s ‘Exposure’ collection is influenced by the artwork and installations of DeWitt Godfrey, the complex creative or packing and stacking conic and cylindrical forms. This collection delves into the circle’s ability to create a boundary, distinguishing between what is enclosed and what lies beyond.

Taylor creates transformative fashion that empowers women to express their individuality through a dialogue of form and function. Inviting a sophisticated interplay between structure and fluidity, each collection blends architectural precision with artistic inspiration. Designing collections proudly from New Zealand that effortlessly integrate into your world and elevate a sense of self.

Sustainability
Sustainability is always considered, from raw material sourcing to controlling wastage, presentation of products, to an almost plastic-free workroom utilising compostable and water-soluble bags (GoSweetSpot and Invisible Bag) and in-house recycling. Taylor creates pieces to last and can continue through on selling or charities like Dress for Success.

Diversity
Taylor prioritise how their clothing makes you feel, focusing on personal expression and individuality and empowering those who wear Taylor designs. Taylor designs offer a diverse look, allowing the wearer to tailor/personalise the outfit to reflect their unique personality/identity.

Jane Sutherland

Forged in the heart of New Zealand. The JS Brand, an ongoing exhibition of metal manipulation to complement the female form. Silver, steel and recycled copper in arresting contrast to high quality fabrics. A space sympathetic to nonconformity.

Every piece, every detail, is combed over to ensure our reputation for exceptional quality apparel and accessories is upheld. Many pieces will be your forever garment as our purpose lies not in the fast lane, but in the currently rebellious attitude of slow fashion.
