Welcome to the iD Dunedin Fashion Show

We are delighted to bring you the 25th iD Dunedin Fashion Week and to be back at the beautiful Dunedin Railway Station. With more than 70 designers involved in the show tonight, it is going to be an incredible experience for everyone involved.

The first half of the show will focus on celebrated and established designers from around Aotearoa, with the iD International Emerging Designers Awards finalists’ collections in the second half, so you’ll see a selection of New Zealand’s most innovative design and ready-to-wear fashion, followed by a cutting edge international showcase of fashion's future stars.

iD has placed emphasis this year on sustainability and diversity. As a premier arts event, we want to do more than just pay lip service to these concepts, and we hope that our audiences will see that reflected in our events this year.

As usual, there is a fantastic collection of associated events, many of which feature our iD alumni, and which add richness and a truly Dunedin flavour to your time with us. Please check our event calendar and attend as many as you can.

Mayor’s Welcome

A very warm welcome to Ōtepoti Dunedin, the proud host city of iD Dunedin Fashion Week.

iD is one of the nation’s premier events, bringing together an exciting and evocative mix of established and emerging designers from around the city, the country and the globe.

Dunedin’s illustrious fashion pedigree makes this the perfect place to celebrate all things fashion. The city has nurtured and influenced many of Aotearoa’s most acclaimed and accomplished designers, and offers a treasure trove of designer boutiques and studios.

Through the expert education at Otago Polytechnic School of Design, we’ve also become the training ground of choice for aspiring designers seeking successful careers in fashion.

Whether you’re a local or a visitor to our city, thank you for your support of iD Dunedin Fashion Week. Enjoy the events, soak up the amazing atmosphere and admire the tremendous talent on display!.

Sustainability

Fostering a sustainable fashion industry is an important focus for iD. All designers participating need to supply a sustainability statement to be considered for show selection. A number of the Awards prizes focus on sustainability.

iD takes a proactive stance to waste minimisation and reducing the environmental impact of the event and we are working towards becoming a zero-waste event.

iD aims to reduce single use products – please reuse your iD cup during the evening. You are welcome to take this home with you or please place it in the foyer at the end of the show for iD to reuse. Please ensure you dispose of your bottles, cans, food scraps and compostable containers at one of the waste stations provided. Ask one of our friendly Zero-Waste Guides if you're unsure of the correct receptacle for your items.

Health & Safety

Toilets are located in the Station foyer and at the North end of the platform.

In the event of an emergency please listen to the iD officials. If evacuation is required, the assembly point is the grass at the front of the Railway Station

iD Fashion is smoke and vape free – there is a smoking and vaping area in the Farmer’s Market carpark at the north end of the station.
